Gerard Boon

Managing Director

Gerard is the Managing Director of Boon Brokers. Gerard is working tirelessly to help Boon Brokers become a household name in the mortgage industry and achieve our company mission. Our mission is to make fee-free mortgage advice accessible to everyone across the UK, not just those with certain case requirements.

Gerard is recognised as a leading expert in the UK’s mortgage industry. His insights are frequently featured in the Financial Times, Mortgage Strategy, Mortgage Solutions, and many more credible news outlets. He regularly publishes mortgage research on trending topics, often cited in media outlets across the UK. As a result of his proactive approach to improving the mortgage market, he is often invited to judging panels for industry awards throughout the year.

Not only does Gerard lead the Boon Brokers team but he is also a qualified Mortgage, Insurance and Equity Release Broker (achieving CeMAP and CeRER qualifications). Having worked as a broker for many years, he understands the needs of brokers and clients. This has given him a significant advantage in expanding the Boon Brokers company.

An interesting fact about Gerard is that in 2017, well before Artificial Intelligence became a mainstream product, Gerard achieved a first-class grade for his dissertation at the University of Leeds titled: “Artificial Intelligence in Financial Intermediation: An Investigation into the Prospect of Robo-Advice Developments for Independent Mortgage Brokers in the United Kingdom.”

Lucinda Robinson

Deputy Manager

Lucinda has actively worked in the mortgage broking industry for many years. She has achieved the CeMAP and CeRER qualifications, enabling her to offer financial advice and arrangement in the following areas:

• Remortgages
• Protection
• Buy to Let
• Portfolio Landlords
• Equity Release

For most cases, Lucinda specialises in remortgage cases for Boon Brokers clients. Alongside this responsibility, she also performs the role of Deputy Manager and assists the broker team with operations.

Away from the office, Lucinda enjoys going for long walks, exercising at her local gym and seeing her friends/family.

Kathryn Hailes

Mortgage Adviser

Kathryn has worked as a qualified mortgage and protection broker since 2018. She has a wide range of experience in Residential, Buy to Let and Protection cases. In particular, Kathryn enjoys helping first-time buyers through their mortgage journey and ensuring that they are well protected with their insurance post-offer. Due to her many years of experience as a broker, Kathryn has a strong understanding of lending criteria from a whole-of-market range of lenders.

As a CeMAP qualified adviser, Kathryn can offer financial advice and arrangement in the following areas:

In her personal life, Kathryn enjoys going to festivals and spending time with her partner in Norfolk. Kathryn is also part of a musical band which performs across the country on the weekends.

Jay Blackaby

Mortgage Adviser

Jay has worked in financial services as a mortgage and protection broker since 2017.  As a result of his experience over many years he has a strong understanding of mortgage lenders and product suitability. Jay, who holds the CeMAP qualification, regularly processes different types of cases for Boon Brokers, including the following:

Away from the workplace, Jay enjoys walking his frantic cocker spaniel, fishing in Norfolk, supporting Manchester United F.C. and spending quality time with his wife.

Adam Davies

Mortgage Adviser

Adam has advised on mortgage and protection since 2015. He has vast experience in advising and arranging many different case types. Since 2015, Adam has been operating on a whole-of-market basis. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of criteria and processing across over 90 lenders and insurers in the industry.

Adam has Mortgage and Insurance qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his family and children. He is also an avid fan of Arsenal FC.

Jacob Marjoram

Mortgage Adviser

Jacob is a fully qualified mortgage and protection adviser. He is proficient in offering comprehensive mortgage and protection advice throughout the UK and is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals.

Jacob specialises in a wide range of mortgage and protection areas, including the following:

Having worked previously as a Personal Trainer, Jacob has developed excellent transferable customer service skills which allows him to deliver the best possible service to suit individual client needs.

In his spare time, he enjoys weight training, mixed-martial arts and spending time with friends and family.

Lee Arbon

Mortgage Adviser

Lee is a CeMAP and CII Certified Mortgage and Protection broker. He has worked in the industry for over 10 years.

Lee prides himself on his customer service and likes to give clients a pleasant experience when providing mortgage and protection services. In particular, Lee most enjoys assisting first-time buyers, home movers, and those looking to remortgage, with their financial objectives.

Nathan Faulkner

Mortgage Adviser

Nathan has actively worked in the mortgage broking industry for many years. Even though he previously specialised in buy-to-let and commercial business, he has recently acquired a vast knowledge of the residential sector. In particular, he enjoys helping first-time buyers, home movers and those looking to remortgage their property.

Nathan is a CeMAP qualified Mortgage and Protection broker. He offers services in:

Mark Spiers

Quality Assurance Administrator

Our Quality Assurance Administrator, Mark joined Boon Brokers in the Spring of 2023. He has an extensive background in Customer Relations and Complaints within the Energy, Financial and Health & Social Care sectors, most recently working within a local County Council.

Mark is a highly analytical and empathetic person with a passion for helping people.

With Mark’s diverse experience in talking to people from all walks of life, as well as investigating complaints and providing training to his colleagues, Mark is well placed to provide Boon Brokers with reliable and effective Quality Assurance.

In his day-to-day role Mark monitors our brokers’ work to ensure that our clients receive the highest possible quality of service throughout their experience. He provides regular feedback to our brokers and is also responsible for investigating any complaints.

When he is not working, Mark can be found exploring the countryside with his partner and their two dogs, completing woodworking and DIY projects, or attempting to make music in his loft.

Mandy Holmes

Administrator

Mandy Holmes joined Boon Brokers in an administrative and compliance role. She spent many years working for Jewson Timber Merchants. The skills learnt during those years have made Mandy a valuable addition to the team.

Mandy’s day-to-day role focuses on administration on compliance. In particular, checking documentation and broker processing to ensure that clients are offered an exceptional service.

Outside of the workplace, Mandy has many hobbies. Most notably, she is an avid Formula 1 fan and keen supporter of Lewis Hamilton.

Azharul Islam

SEO Executive

Azharul is the SEO Executive at Boon Brokers. He has a proven track record in digital marketing and SEO, having worked across diverse industries. His fresh perspective and enthusiasm will be invaluable as we continue to expand our online reach.

Azharul’s creative mind and analytical skills are a perfect combination for driving our SEO strategy forward. His focus is on increasing our website content to attract more visitors and improve our search engine rankings.

When he’s not optimising our website, Azharul can be found cheering on his beloved Liverpool FC.

Jack Freestone

Finance Writer

Jack joined the team as our Digital Copywriter, bringing a wealth of experience in digital marketing. Jack has a well-established background within the world of content management and copywriting. He is even accompanied with a strong understanding of SEO in action, having previously worked as a technical SEO writer.

With a passion for transforming complex ideas into easy-to-understand and digestible content, Jack’s first commitment is to engage readers and make information accessible to all. As part of the team, Jack’s main goal is to help drive engagement and ensure that all of our content resonates with the reader, providing quick and clear information.

Outside of work, you can always count on Jack being on a rainy walk or immersing himself in a good book.

Alice Page

Marketing & Partnerships Manager

Alice is the Marketing & Partnerships Manager at Boon Brokers, bringing a wealth of experience across both B2B and B2C marketing. Her diverse background has equipped her with extensive expertise in developing effective marketing strategies and building strong business relationships.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include affiliate marketing, social media management, email automation, content creation, partnership development, and much more. Alice is passionate about driving brand growth, fostering meaningful partnerships, and delivering engaging marketing campaigns that support the company’s continued success.

Although Alice excels across every aspect of her role, she is particularly passionate about the partnerships side of the business. She enjoys meeting prospective partners, understanding their ambitions, and identifying those whose vision and values align with Boon Brokers’ mission. This enables her to build strong, meaningful partnerships that support long-term success for both parties.
